Alechinsky is on the way to Slovakia!

I got really interested in Alechinsky's theories and I did some reading about them. There is a book on Google Books which goes into some details about his use of colour, line and text. What I decided to do with my entry was to progress from fairly figurative drawing into more abstract shapes (which often marked his art). All in all, I felt that the metaphor of Lodz, the city once called a Promised Land was not compensated.

Ella, that's amazing! I like so much your drawing - I think, you are much closer to Aleshinsky because of this abstraction = interpretation of Lodz.
Are you agree with me that Aleshinsky theme is very difficult to start and also difficult to finish? After I finished my drawing I was really inspired by him.

Thank you very much. I enjoyed Alechinsky. Well I agree it is difficult to start/finish, but I also found that once you get in his mood it is easy to carry on. It requires a lot of thinking.

Hi guys, I must admit that I haven't begun with my entry yet, I'm overwhelmed with my master diploma thesis. Eventhough I would love to add entry, because it s a wonderful book :/ But, I don't want to slow down the whole group, so I can send the book to another person and I would be very happy if the book could return to me then. What do you think?

Joey or Albina??? Are you still in? Otherwise Danica you can send it back to me if no answer... I don't want to loose my book as well... Then I can send it back to you when you're ready if you want. Thank you for your honesty. Best wishes! Barbara

Hello, Barbara - I really think it is the best course of action to send your book directly to the person you are in contact with, and have reasonable expectation of your book's return. In any case, I would love to do an entry, but I am going to be traveling in May - so, if you e-mail me through flickr mail, I can give you my address, and we can agree on the best time for this exchange (perhaps in June?). All the best!!!

Hello Danica, How is your master diploma going?

Do you still have my book? Or does someone else has it now?
This group is getting really silent... what a pity.

Danica could you send me my book back? Thank you very much. When the group gets going again I will send it then myself to the next person who wants to draw still.

best regards everybody!

Here is my address:
