Frida Book: Joey

I finished my entry in Danica's Frida book. I decided to do a self portrait . Frida did a great number of self portraits. A lot of her self portraits had greenery behind her so I went with that. This is what I came up with. Watercolor, Gouache, White colored pencil, Pitt Pens, and a Sepia Micron.

Albina’s Beautiful Beardsley Book

Now, I havn’t had a chance to start on this book...probably will be on hiatus from the project until after New Year’s. (Sorry gang) But I wanted to show how seemlessly this image flows so far...just gorgeous! Lovely work ladies!

Danica's Moly Is Here !

I came home today and had a present in the mail! :) I was starting to get jealous with all the updates about everyone getting moly's . Now I have one to work in ! Yeah !

It looks great. Time to do some research.

joey's book: take 2

... my work on this book is ... finished  :) and I will be ready to send it on in a day or two. Melissa, are you ready for more moly fun?!

I used paper for collage, acrylic, sharpie, ink, white pen, and bits of red tape with numbers in this contribution. Shepard Fairey's Commanda was an inspiration point, and I did use bits of the SF's printed design in the collage portion of my drawing. The rest of it is me, trying to stick to my own playful morbidity, while paying the homage and staying with a theme.
